I understand most students defiantly want to avoid Christmas present due to their lack of disposable income. However i'm going to give you a sneaky insight of how I make christmas presents or could be birthday's or whatever occasion, but for you're presents to look beautifully wrapped and much more cheaper than buying patterned christmas paper.

Firstly, Head to Poundland, forget the awful crappy thin wrapping paper, thats out of the window, I never want to see you using any of that again. Buy some mailing brown paper, it looks like that ^ and it's only a £1 for ten meters. Also some of this string while you're there.

Secondly, Get some ribbon, you can buy this from all over but the cheapest will be places like, Wilko's, The Range, The Works, Hobby Craft, local markets, more high street theres also places like John Lewis, WH Smiths, Fenwicks. Have a look on Ebay or Amazon because they may have some good deals on ribbon. Also shops like Tesco, Sainsbury's, Asda, will have them in.

Now, the tags I have brought them from Poundland in the past, if not again they will be sold in the place's I've mentioned above or you there's the post office but also you can make them yourself by cutting out a template and then punching the hole with a hole puncher.

If, ribbon and the tags are getting a little to pricey than you want (even though they shouldn't come to that much) rip up some old cloths or go to a charity shop by some material sometimes charity shops sell curtains or bedding, and with the material you can make something like this.

This year for present's (Birthday's) I did something like this. So I got the mailing paper and then brought some pattern card or paper, and created the bow myself. This is really easy to do and looks so lovely and unique when you're giving a present. With this all you have to do is cut out the shapes and put it together, I'll see if I can find a YouTube Tutorial because it's to hard to explain.

These are also really easy to do, here you can see the lace looks really pretty again here, so just have a see what you have lying about. If you don't mind spending a little bit. Ikea do some lace curtains for £12 and you would defiantly be able to wrap a lot of presents with that because it's a lot of material.

Here's just another little example of how to create your own bow.

Some of these video's are every cheesy, just so you're warned.

Really feel bad for not posting anything in so long, and need to get back into it, but have had a pretty crazy month starting with moving house and they're being problems with it, new job, new Uni year, i've found it pretty hard getting back in the swing of things, so that's my excuse and apologies so will be posting a lot more! Moving on!

TARTAN & CHECKS, are always a must every winter. For some reason this trend is just everlasting, but I love it and thinks it looks beautiful. However. I do think theres a certain way to wear this pattern. And be careful the pattern doesn't look taccy, where the red is really bright or something. Dark colours for this kind of pattern works so aviod taccy looking patterns. Also i've noticed some tops that are this tartan/ check pattern, which most of the time I think it doesn't work, so try and keep the pattern on the bottom unless it's a dress.

I've also started to link the clothes to the site and the exact page where I got it from so you can easily find/access it. So I hope this is better.

Asos. Tartan skater skirt. 19.99.

Newlook. Tartan Dip Dress. £22.99

Topshop. Tartan check Trousers. £42

Marks & Spencers. Tartan style wooly big thick scarf. £19.50.

Newlook. Check drawstring bag. £17.99

The first garment being the skirt will look beautiful with some grey tights and little ankle boots. Everyone needs a skirt like this, this winter. The dress is something you could more wear at the weekends or an evening, I usually HATE a dipped hem but for some reason it works on this dress and only a few other items, but like I said, it works well here. I know the trousers a little expensive BUT, they are gorgeous, you can wear them with lots of things and they will last you longer. As for the scarf, I have it and it's so lovely and big, the last scarf I brought from Asos it was small and thin, and I hate those kind of scarfs, we are in winter now and it's started to get really cold so be careful when buying scarfs online I'd recommend going in and trying some on, the one thing you want is a nice big thick, long snuggly scarf.
