Just because your a student don't think your room will be boring and plain. It doesn't have to be. With the power of the internet and the high street, there are loads of good bargin's, that will turn your room from feeling like a prison to a nice chilled environment. I've seen loads of really nice bedding, from places such as Asda, Matalan Home, Next Home, Tk Maxx, Ikea. For decoration, origami is a students best friend. Its cheap and you can do it yourself. Depending on what kind of patterns or colours you want your decorations to be, the places to go are, John Lewis, Paperchase, M&S, Wilkinsons, or even Tesco, or Asda for coloured card etc. Heres a link to a YouTube tutorial on how to make paper cranes. http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=FSijU52XJ7w
A small alarm clock is needed for those all important lectures so make sure you have one this year. And lastly, if your Halls or Landlord doesn't allow blue tac everywhere on your walls then this hanging mobile is perfect for picture of the family or memories with friends. But if you are allowed to go crazy with the blue tac then head to Paperchase, as they do sheets of wrapping paper, but some could be used for posters just to jazz up your room a bit, also they are a lot cheaper than buying a proper poster.
